How to Commission a Portrait
Pet Portraits are primarily done in pastel. Horses and horse racing scenes are done in oil. All pastels are double matted in acid-free museum quality materials.
Anne prefers to visit your home, stable, or kennel to get acquainted with your animal and take her own photographs. If the animal is no longer living she will look at your photos and determine if they are clear enough to use.
She then makes notes about coloring, expression, position, and client preferences pertaining to collars, bandanas, etc. She will work with you to determine the best layout for multiple animals as well as size of finished work and mat colors.
The outside dimensions of a double matted single cat or dog portrait are approximately 16" x 20" and increase as the number of animals increase.
The artist accepts payment in the form of personal checks.
